Kent Apples

apple orchard in autumn

This week I went for an autumn walk in the Kent countryside with friends. We passed several apple orchards, some still working and some past their prime. It was a beautiful afternoon with spectacular views over the misty countryside dotted with oast houses and autumnal trees.

Fruits of Agritecture

green tomatoes

During this summer I have conducted my own agritecture experiment; a vegetable patch on the roof of the building. In many respects it worked. Except for the tomatoes. Perhaps it was the plants I bought from the 99p shop in the High Street, or maybe it was my gardening. I chose the green ones mostly for this photo because by the time they ripen they are no longer fine specimens.
