Camden Market Ties

Today I took a walk through a relatively quiet Camden Market. My friend Nicole suggested it. It wasn’t like a normal Sunday. The tie stall wasn’t open, for one. It was a quiet Sunday. But it was a pleasure to wander through the stalls in all their variety.

This gas holder, probably built around 1861, is the last remaining structure on the site of the headquarters of the Imperial Gas Company built in 1824 in St Pancras. It somehow doesn’t look at all out of place in 21st Century St. Pancras.

This week’s photo could be entitled "Waiting for the Leaves to Turn". I went for a walk in Regent’s Park hoping to capture some shades of autumn but everything was still quite green. I turned my attention to the housing in the park instead and in particular this row of mobile homes on the canal.

I was in St Giles High Street this afternoon on what was a spectacular autumn, if not summer even, day. I looked at the almost completed Renzo Piano complex, Central St Giles but my attention was drawn to Centre Point House, one of my old favourites.
